Some Abreviations You Should Learn

ASAP, CC, ENC, PP, PS, PTO, RSVP. Learn here what all this abreviations mean.

ASAP

=

As soon as possible

CC

=

Carbon copy, which is used if the corresondence is going to more than one person.

ENC

=

Enclosure, which is used if you are including additional papers with the original letter.

PP

=

Per Procurationem, which means you are signing the letter for someone else as they are unavailable to sign it themselves. This is a Latin term.

PS

=

Postscript, which means you had a thought you want to add at the end of the letter. Usually written after the signature beginning on the left-hand side as in the body of the letter.

PTO

=

Please turn over. This informal abbreviation lets the reader know there is a continuation of the letter on the backside of the paper

RSVP

=
