Many thanks for agreeing to provide a letter of recommendation to go with my applications to medical school. It has been my life long desire to study medicine, a subject I first got interested in when I was back in High School. Much of my lesson choices at school and university have all led me to a position where I can apply to the medical school of my choice. My university marks are good enough but it is your letter of recommendation that may have a great deal of influence when I sit before the selection committee.
If the committee look favorably on my application then I should know within three months as to whether I have been successful in gaining a position at their school. I will let you know of the result as soon as I have been informed.
