Dear [Recipients Name],

We recently received your request to photograph artworks by Monet which are on display at the Winston Art Gallery.

Whilst we are always willing and happy to assist researchers and students with their projects and assignments there are a number of issues which prevent us from approving your request. The primary points of concern are the irrevocable damage which can be inflicted onto art works by flash photography and the potential for breaches of security by allowing photography in the safe room housing the art works. We would however like to invite you to visit our archives were you will be given free access to photographic slides, books and other publications which you will be able to copy. We hope that this will be of some assistance to your work and that we meet with you soon.

Sincerely,
