How to Write Celebration Letters

There are two specific instances wherein celebration letters can be written – to announce a special event or to accept an invitation for a celebratory affair.

If you are inviting guests to attend an event, such as a birthday party, wedding celebration, baptism, engagement dinner, or the like, the key details to include are the date of the affair, the venue, the specific time it is expected to start, and the person or people involved. Make sure that these details are the center of your celebration letters and that they are clearly stated. In this way, you can avoid any confusion for the people you are inviting.

Also, ensure that you send these letters out two weeks prior to the celebration, at the very least. You have to anticipate that your guests may have other events scheduled so you should give them ample time to make the necessary adjustments or arrangements.

When sending the celebration letters, it boils down to preference, if you are going to handwrite or print it. Either way, make sure that the key details are legible and noticeable.

If, on the other hand, you are writing a celebration letter to accept an invitation, a handwritten note will suffice. Just be sure that you are going to follow through with your attendance. Most events have fixed seating or catering, according to the number of guests that confirm, which is why it is really important to attend if you confirm beforehand. It is best to send a response within 48 hours of receiving the invitation.
